Whatever happened to the "fast" in "fast food?" I remember a time when you could go to McDonald's, order 20 hamburgers, they'd scoop them off the rack, sack them, hand them to you, and you'd be on your way in 5 minutes. Now it takes them 20 minutes to get you one hamburger, small fries and a drink. Okay, I appreciate the whole "cooked to order," "fresh taste," etc, but they really need to redo their kitchen strategy for that. They need more than one person working register, and have at least two assembly lines per register (that counts drive-through, as well. Maybe a whole separate area just for drive-through orders). Wendy's is the only fast food place around here that seems to do it right. Even Taco Bell is slow as hell. After I use up my coupons, no more Burger King. In line 20 minutes before I even get to give my order? Oh, HELL, no. Not with only a 30-minute lunch break. No wonder my generation doesn't know how to _savor_ meals.
Oh, and I've started work on a Ninja Storm fic. Yay me.
