Last night, I had to run out and get milk and cotton swabs. Husband took my car to work, since his Jeep has terrible gas milage, and since gas prices keep going up... So, I had to take the Jeep out.
I've never driven the Jeep before.
The top was down; the doors and windows were off.
The Jeep is a straight-six; my car is just a four cylinder
I was terrified.
I had to remember that since he put on the lift and the bigger tires, the turning ratio decreased. So I couldn't turn into parking spaces as tightly as I can in my Corsica.
So, I'm driving down to the store, wind whipping around me as I try to remember the speed limit is 45, not 30, and to remember that I can see the lines in the road from my perepheral vision, since there is no door on the Jeep. When I wasn't thinking about impending doom, I actually kind of enjoyed it. But I think all in all, I'll leave the Jeep driving to him, and stick to being a passenger.
