Went to the pool again today, by myself. Took some lemon water, my new study book, Bible, and three-ring notebook, so I could sit out there and study after I was tired of swimming.
Spent a good deal of time in the pool, actually swim a few laps, walked five circuits around the pool (I've been told pool-walking is good exercise, adds resistance without adding strain), and just floated a bit. Studied six paragraphs, then just stretched on a lounge chair and rested for a bit.
Silly me didn't take sunblock.
Now my back and shoulders are sunburnt. And I can't reach most of my back to put aloe on. And Matt doesn't get home for another two and a half hours.
But on the plus side, I finally made a decent loaf of white bread in my breadmaker. I used whole milk this time, heated it, the sugar, salt and shortening together in the microwave for 2 minutes before putting it in the pan with the flour and yeast. I also didn't halve the amount of yeast or sugar like I had been (it's a two-loaf recipe that only calls for one packet of yeast. I use instant yeast, so I'd been using 1 1/8 tsp instead of the full 2 1/4 tsp that makes a packet). Finally, I got a nice, rounded loaf that browned on the top as well as the sides and bottom! And the inside looked to be nice and fluffy, too, not as dense and dry as before. Plus, I don't think it's so tall that it won't fit in sandwich bags. So Matt should be good to go on lunches.
Argh, the itching has started!!! And I can't reach it!!
