Matt and I went to the discount theater Tuesday afternoon, and something odd happened: there were no movie previews. Lots of commercials (I remember Minute Maid Light, since we saw the same commercial on tv earlier), but no coming attractions.
Do they really lose that much money showing second-run movies in the afternoon that they have to run just commercials, no previews?
