I wonder...

Would the Rosefen still have been all "OMG Doctor+Rose=OTP4EVAH!!!!1111" if the Doctor was still played by Christopher Eccleston and not David Tennant?

Also, tvtropes.org is way too addictive.

Hmmm.. Tennant is funny and charming, but I find the brooding and gaunt Eccleston just as attractive (if not more), so... I'd do him if I was Rose. I don't care what the fandom thinks though.

I pretty much felt like the Doc/Rose thing was over when Eccleston regenerated. It might have been cruel but it would have saved so much angst and fanwankery if among the first words out of Tennant's mouth was something along the lines of, "I have all the memories of my previous life, but the connections aren't quite the same. So I know how I USED to feel, but now I'm a blank slate again, which means that I think of you JUST as a friend."
