Good things
Jul. 13th, 2007 09:36 pmThe ceiling fan is mostly-up in the living room. Something's funky with the wiring, though, because while the lights work just fine (well, until they started having a slight strobe effect tonight), the fan, even on high, is on a reeeaaaaaaly sloooooow rotation.
I got a $15 tip from a customer. Always awkward, because we're not supposed to accept tips, but he won't let us not-accept them (he tips every time he comes in).
We're getting a new dishwasher! The old one went kaput, and the landlord has an insurance/warranty thing that covers all the appliances, so we had a $400 budget to pick out a new one. I let Matt pick it out; he did so and called the landlord with it today. So hopefully soon, we'll have a working dishwasher again.
Matt made tacos tonight. And I had limeade and ice cream (pistachio gelato, to be exact).
In just under a week, I get to see friends and family from back East again.
We've been invited to join a number of couples from the congregation on a week-long Pacific coast cruise in October. We WILL find a way to do that.
The good things right now are outweighing the two psycho customers.
