Pine nuts are odd... I don't like them. They're also kind of high fat, I thought, so I'm surprised any eating plan has them on it. I suppose it depends on what you're replacing with them, though.

To find pine nuts, you'll probably need to go to a health food store and buy from bulk. In pesto recipees though, a typical replacement is sunflower seeds.
