Tuesdayness
Jul. 20th, 2005 09:59 amI love my hubby. He actually did the dishes Monday. Plus, even though it's sort of a stretch of the finances, he bought me Half-Blood Prince yesterday. And he just killed a bug for me. :)
Even though yesterday was his day off, he still went into work for a bit to follow up on some leads. Wanting a change of scenery, I went with him, worked on my sewing a bit (found the binder in a tub on the porch) until I made a procedure mistake on the bustier (did hem tape before finishing all the hand-stitched hems; hem tape seriously gums up the needle) and had to stop.
After we left the dealership, we went to a used bookstore he'd heard about, and roamed for a bit. But the thing is, unless I have money to spend, or am looking for something in particular, I don't really have any desire to go to bookstores anymore. I did spend some time looking at the games section, hoping to find a book on origami. One of the little boys in our bookstudy was having fun folding a paper towel into new and interesting configurations, and I thought he might like a book on origami. But, nothing. And it hit me that I hadn't eaten yet that day.
I was still on my pizza craving, so we went to CiCi's Pizza for lunch. $4 pizza buffet. So not on my eating plan, because of the crust. But I didn't care. I was hungry and I wanted pizza. This was a different location than where we usually go, and this one didn't have the thicker-crusts, so I guess it was a little better than usual. Though, I don't really care for thin crusts. To me, it's like having pizza on a cracker. And they didn't have a plain pepperoni pizza on the buffet, either. So, I'm still sort of craving pizza, but it's not as urgent as it was.
After lunch, we went to Sam's Club to get lunchmeat and milk. That's where we saw HBP for $16 and wonderful darling hubby bought it for me. :) Came home, and I spent the next five hours reading HBP. No spoilers. I'll just say: Ouch. I'm going to reread parts of it, then it gets loaned to one of Matt's coworkers. While it's gone, I can reread 1-5 and see if any more puzzle pieces fell in that JKR didn't beat us over the head with.
